Boys are getting in the Halloween spirit... barn party!

Six ... count them, six Grandsons! Can it be any better than this.

Ok. So it has been a year. But what a year. July 2008 our chickens laid their first eggs that was exciting but not as exciting as the birth of Seth! August was a crazy birthday month. September we had hurricane IKE and that was amazing but not quite as amazing as the birth of Cannon. Then came October and the Great "Granny Bash" this was a great year. Then the holidays and winter. Well I am back, the garden is planted, baby swans are swimming and a cow is on the way. Max was the best boy in the spelling bee at school. Seth is learning to crawl and Cannon is growing like a weed. Jake and Spence are graduating from Kindergarten and Isaac will prepare for preK. What an amazing year!

Chickens....eggs?

We did a little add on for the "girls" to have a little extra room. They love the addition!

Well we are still waiting for Eggs... but the chickens are growing and doing great. One rooster among so many hens!

The Garden

A few black eyed peas, squash , bell peppers and eggplant! We are so proud of our little garden.

The garden has been such a joy! Lots of hard work but it has been so exciting to eat something we really grew! Some of our crop was not as productive as others but it is a learning curve I am sure.

Russell Daylilies
