It has been awhile since the last update. Farm Life is very Busy! This weekend we planted the window boxes with new petunias. Cleaned all the pine tree pollen, everything was yellow. Set up the new brooder for the baby chicks (25 little ones). Replanted all the pot plants around the pool. Removed the frozen trees, repaired the fence so the puppies could not get out. The garden has been set but we did all the weeding and are getting ready to plant the Blackberries. A little minature orchard. Hard Work but so much fun.

Max is Spelling Bee Champ!
Max was in his first spelling bee today. He was awesome! Won third place out of about 100 second graders. #1 boy speller. He impressed me the most with his calm nature, confidence and sweet attidtude. Here is a little snipit of the spelling bee.
Swans May 2009
April 14th the swan stork(Mike Mechaley) delivered 4 baby swans and three eggs still to hatch. We had given up on any of the last three eggs to hatch but the boys were convinced we had our own little happy feet and if we would just give him time he would stamp his feet and come out. Well much to our surprise 3 days after the first four had arrived one brave little swan hatched. Now we had our very own little "Happy Feet" plus four! Now that is not to say that "happy feet" did not come into this world a little more special than the others. His eyes are a little crooked and his beak does not quite line up and he is much smaller than the others but he is doing great and holding his own. We did lose one of the first four so now with "Happy Feet' ther are four surviving swans.....
